Now sold but I can't remove the message; perhaps the moderators can.

Kept it for three months but it got the better of me. Thank you to everyone in the forum who have been so helpful.

G'day Keith. So does that mean you haven't got a A7/10 to keep you sane and your outahere? If so that's OK but you could stay and give your two bob's worth on topics.

Thanks. It was good to do some mechanical stuff. I fitted a new 4 spring clutch, converted it to 12v with new modern regulator,  levers, switch and twistgrip, but when I eventually rode it, I realised that not having a front brake was something I would never get used to. Also, having spent too much on initial purchase, every expense thereafter hurt so far from keeping me sane, it had the opposite effect. Now poorer and a little wiser, I find I'm still hankering after a project but more modern. Guess I should have bought Japanese. Maybe an OIF Bonneville/Tiger would do but they are pricey.

No worries Keith. The A's aren't everyone's cup of tea.
Best of luck with your next project.
