Just dug out some old snaps
« on: 17.11. 2008 09:32 »
..and thought some of you might be interested to see my A10 in a previous guise. I've been faithful to my A10 over the years but  fickle as to how it looks.
Come on everyone post some pics!
Cheers,
iain

Nice bike Iain but how 'could' you replace the BSA logo with a Jolly Roger? (Skull & Crossbones)

That would not be Goffy's bike with the dustbin fairing with the teeth painted on it to the right of the first picture?

Hi LJ,
It was just a bit off fun really, the bike was in a bit of a state, when I got it brush on aluminium paint,
checkered tape(I scoured bicycle shops looking for old stock. You couldnt buy it new) and home made stencils all seemed in character for a shonky 60's Cafe Racer. The alloy tank with all its battle scars was picked up at Beauliea as well as the humpy seat for next to nothing. I think Concours was King in the late 80s, nobody really wanted that stuff.
Hi Richard,
You're right...thats not Goffy's A10! Its another one, it belongs to my mate Andy. I'm not sure whose came first, but Andy certainly wasn't aware of Goffy's when he built it.
Cheers,
Iain
