I always attend Battlesbridge shows near Wickford Essex. There is always a large group of BSA owners there. Is there any splinter groups that meet in the south east of Essex for a meeting. chat etc. I am near Southend. The BSA club meet near Ilford which is almost East london. too dangerous !!!

Cheers Colin

Hi Colin

I have just looked in my BSAOC handbook and it seems there are no branches down your neck of the woods. My local branch is in Herne Hill (not the London one but near Herne Bay in Kent). Even that is a bit of a journey for me so I go to a local mixed marque club about half an hour away for a pint and a natter about old british iron.

Ilford seems to be the closest BSAOC branch for you but I would think the most dangerous part of the ride would be the Southend Arterial  *lol*

Not that close but there is/was a branch that meets at a pub in Stanway just outside Colchester (on your side at least). I rolled over there on my GF Bitza about a year ago. Some 30 blokes standing around drinking and just a handful of bikes. Now I'm a fairly gregarious type but these folks wouldn't give me the time of day - miserable Bs. I did get chatting with a couple of older gents who were a little more accommodating, and moaning gently about lack of new members and not really getting out and about much. I'm not surprised, I've never been back.

I'm Braintree based BTW.
