Hi guys and gals, I have been reading some great posts but have not been active myself so I thought a picture of my bike would be a good idea. Looking forward to heaps more good tips and ideas for the BSA.

Very nice machine you've got, looks like it's going fast even when on the stand!

Hi there, well the bike is a Super Rocket with modifications!

It has:
1. Akront alloy rims
2. An external oil filter in the toolbox (see photo)
3. Modern battery in the original black battery surround
4. All electrical circuits have in line fuses above the battery and in the headlamp surround
5. The rear sets come off the swinging arm flanges - not the rear pillion frame cradle as in the RGS
6. A reverse camplate and standard box.
7. Gold star tank

It is the copy of the bike I had for 15 years, many moons ago.  I lost that one in a divorce - maybe its got something to do with parking the bike in the sunroom next to the lounge hahahheheh  *smile*

Cheers,

Hi there Kiwipom,

The gearbox was set up when I got it so I am not sure how it was done.

The web site of Beezabill, if it is still around has this information. I think there is a couple of members on this forum who have completed the modification. Maybe a new request on this forum could work for you. Sorry I cannot be of anymore help.

Been trying for days to get onto beezabills site. No luck. I did download a lot of his stuff but lost it in a nerdbox meltdown last year. Bugga.

Love the bike!
I also have a '61 Super Rocket that a neighbor Threw Out! on the curb!
I don't have a lot of money or time, but I am giving it all I have, and am at the stage where I will start powder coating frame and parts soon.
I plan on building mine to the same level.
I will eventually share when I finally have a rolling chassis and start the engine work (pistons are seized in the sleeves).
Lots to go, but you've inspired, and I would LOVE to place mine in the living room as well, but prefer to not get divorced :)

Hi Cpete,

Glad the bikes inspires. They take a long while to build and a lot of time to maintain - but what else would I be doing ? playing golf.

Nice bike Pirate, and welcome aboard.

As for the most toys etc, its better to have one bike and ride the wheels off it than to have a shed full that never get ridden.

Hi there,

I just checked out the BeezaBill page again and it has come back online:

http://bsa-a10.hailwood.com/convert.html

It goes into great detail on how to convert the cam plate and lots of other good tips.

Hope this helps
