Special Tools suppliers

As Im searching for a wheel bearing retainer tool for the "Ariel" type hub I wondered where the best place to buy special tools for the B.S.A might be ?
Anyone any ideas please ?

I own a 1955/56 B.S.A Swinging Arm "Golden Flash" , had it since 1976 .

If you get desperate you can make one by drilling holes in a piece of flat bar, and welding a piece of 100mm nail in the holes which sticks out one side a few mm.

Don't whatever you do loctite the retainer threads instead of using wire or similar to hold them in place, it makes them almost impossible to remove them afterwards!

i think they're a left hand thread  to,so if its tight try the other way,
near wolves uk,will keep riding as long as can stay upright,tribsa,tt500,2xJAP grasstrackers+jawa.gold flash.triumph metisse,and others.

Mostly correct Andy, however when buying spares at jumbles look closely at them - there are right hand thread ones out there, I found this out after trying for a while to get one started, suspected I'd got a bad thread on it (takes a while for pennies to drop these days).
Bought a new one (retainer) and went in fine, the odd one belongs a spare hub I have so maybe some models where right handed, sure someone will inform us.

I don't have a tool but the making of one is on the to do list, thinking of a big washer with a nut welded to it for a socket and for little pegs from somewhere.
Also I reckon more than a few of us would admit to the savagery of hammer and punch  *red*

Where the Haynes manual said they were lh thread they weren't lh thread on my bike this led to much angst....

The one I made is just a length(~4") of the ok diameter muffler pipe slotted up a bit and 4 lengths of approriate dia. bar welded in, and a big nut on the other end.
 For a different hub, but same idea. Good luck, duTch

Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

Managed to but an adjustable peg spanner from E-bay which is perfect
for the job ...think its actually for removing grinder wheels ?
