Greetings
« on: 25.06. 2012 00:13 »
Hello All,

I've found this forum very informative as a guest, and decided it was high time that I became a member.  I'm in the hot southwest (Arizona), and am restoring a 1954 Road Rocket.  I first bought the bike in 1972 as a basket case and put it together with A7 parts, A10 parts, A65 parts, maybe a few Triumph parts, and anything else I could find to keep it on the road.  In spite of that, it was a very reliable machine, and earned the nickname "Old One Kick" from my biking buddies.  With the end of my care-free youth (i.e. jobs, wife, and kids), it went into storage in 1978, but I could never bring myself to sell it, so a couple of years ago, I decided it was time to restore OOK, and this time do it right.  It has definitely been a challenge, but thanks to ebay and the world wide web, it is slowly coming together.  Along the way, I have learned a thing or two, and hope that I'll have something to contribute to others.

G'day Sparky, welcome to the forum from the cold, wet SE Australia.
She'll be looking to see the light of day again. Best of luck with it.
