Shock Absorber Bushes

The rubber in My rear damper bushes is perishing , how do I remove & replace these and where are they available from please ?

I own a 1955/56 B.S.A Swinging Arm "Golden Flash" , had it since 1976 .

You mean the bushes where the shocks bolt to the frame?
A socket of the right size, and a bolt, nut and couple of sturdy washers to draw it out into the socket. You could also use a vice to draw it into the socket by pressing a bit of bar, rod (or another socket) slightly larger than the metal part of the bush to push it out. Does that make sense?
You might be able to get bushes of the right size locally from a motor factors.

I did mean the rubbers which sit in the eye which the bolt fits through .

You want part number 19-5305 rear suspension metalastic bush. They are available from C&D Autos I think.
