Hi, we broke the front hub in order to move this bike after a preiod of time setting out in Wi. / Mi weather. We need a lot of parts to make this streetable again. Does anyone know of a good source for A7 parts. Following is a partial list.
1. Front wheel / brake hub
2. Rear wheel
3. Mufflers
4. Cables (all)
5. Gas tank, ours is good but no chrome, paint or badges

Thanks for any help

I take it WI is Wisconsin?? if so you may try putting a wanted post on the BritBike forum at britbike.com as a lot of the guys on there are US guys, also the US BSA owners club should point you in the right direction.
Good luck with the rebuild.

Thanks for the info. I tried to log on the britcycle.com forum but got a message they are not taking registrations now. Can't get to their forum without registering. I'll try the BSAOG(s) to see if they can help.

And of course.... Keep an eye on good old Ebay! Likely I will be putting up a complete 7" hub and brake plate there shortly.

This one... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v631/mr-lj35/LJs1961BlueA10.jpg The rim and spokes will need throwing away and the brake lining will need relining they are too hard.

Edit.

I ought to have said that it is the front wheel that will be available... I have got myself an 8" hub to replace the 7" I am told though that a 7" should be as good as an 8" It seems that I have been using very hard linings which really are only suitable for hydralic braking systems. The same type of hard linings are on the rear wheel too and are just as bad. However on my other (Red) A10 the rear linings are softer and work very well indeed. The front brake on the Red A10 is a twin leader with softer type linings... So much better still. You may even find it easier to get a twin leading shoe type brake plate in the US as I understand more A65 were sent there than A10s.

Hope this helps.  *smiley4*
