« on: 21.03. 2008 11:42 »
Hi, I'm looking for a lifting handle for a 57 Golden Flash plunger, 67-4130, if anyone has one for sale.
Thanks, Joe.

You could try Burton Bike Bits.

I've looked at their spares list and the lifting handle is down as "not available"

Think I have one, not too sure it's genuine article though, if someone could get me dimensions I could check
hold on it's in a shed in the garden that has this minute blown over -

just been out to look at damage, the shed has flipped onto it's front and is lying on a hedge, if the wind gets up again contents will be blown over a goodly area, it's now snowing.
I'm out tomorrow to feed cattle, maybe I can pull shed back upright with the fork lift from work, maybe before if the wind drops - ah life

Sorry about the shed Bill, it's wet and windy here on the North East coast and forecast to get colder over the weekend. I would be happy with any handle (pattern or otherwise) that fits because getting it on and off the centre stand without one is awkward.
Thanks. Joe

well shed has'nt moved any further and the shed contents are still were the shed floor used to be, so hopefully if the wind drops a bit as it is forecast to we'll get at it tomorrow.
Bikes are safe in a lean to on to the garage.
Shed contents are mostly gardening stuff, nothing too important but a container of old bike bits is in there, I'll dig out the handle tomorrow and post a picture of it.
You can have it for postage cost and any small donation to my project you think fit

Bill,

I, too, am sorry about the shed. But the image of having it blow over while you were writing about it was a bit funny. I am sure I would not be alone in saying that the pictures of the shed and subsequent fork-lift effort would be interesting. OK, that has nothing to do with A7/10's except the happenings of one owner. But, regardless.....

This is what it looks like. 3/4" diameter tube and about 9" long.

Thanks for the replies. I've managed to find a handle from Lyford Classic Services for £15.03 +PP. Should be on it's way as I type.
