A Vintage Motorcycle Rallye, American Style
« on: 02.09. 2011 22:14 »
Hi folks,

I fianlly made it out to one of the really big vinatge motorcycle swapmeets ("jumbles") here in the U.S. I managed to meet our member motomike and had a good talk with him and saw a couple of his A10's, one of which is pictured in the album I posted on Shutterfly http://richardlpics.shutterfly.com/ Met a couple of other A10 owners and encouraged them to join the fun here. We'll see what happens. As far as I could tell, of the hundreds (thousands?) of bikes at the show, there were only three of the A7/A10 variety and Mike had two of them. The other was a very nice plunger owned by a guy needing to hook-up with Manor Mike for a DVR2 (or later) voltage regulator. It was incredibly hot (around 100F) all day, so fatigue played a part in how much of other people's junk I wanted to make my junk. Also, I could have taken a lot more pictures, but doing so seemed to slow me down, and there was a whole lot of ground to cover, much of it covered in old Harley's, as you can see.

I thought the one with the prosthesis on the pillion was funny.  I saw him and he had both of his original legs, so it was just there for the joke.  I wish I had had the time and energy to take a lot more photos but,  like I said,  there was limited time and I always felt I was staying one venders tent ahead of heat stroke.
