I should have said anyone in the uk, as i did spot that one at british only, also one popped up at burton bike bits listed for a royal enfield, but i do know their were a few similar ones about. I`ll contact burton i think. I still don`t know wether the brake pedals were the same or not though?

watch out on the one for Royal Enfield, the arm that actuates the switch may be the mirror image of the one you need. I have the original one for my 1960 A10. The switch still works, the lever is a mess, it needs a new rubber boot, and while I can get it to work on the bike I have no faith that it would do so reliably. I bought one of those "universal" ones on Ebay for around 7 dollars and although right now it's still in the wrapper, next spring it may not be! Don't know about any brake pedal changes.

Rich,
The brake pedal is virtually the same as the '58-'59 one but where the switch spring fits the early one a dowel to actuate the switch is fitted to the later pedal.

Rick, it`s as i suspected regarding the royal enfield one, i`d heard there were a lot of similar but slightly different one`s about, which is why i`m being careful before i spend £75 or thereabouts on one! (i`m not so sure the lucas part no is correct as it has the same no as the R.E. one?)

Trev, thanks, i will make a dowel up when the time comes!
