Air Cleaner / Carb connection rubber

Another user and I are trying to work out which air cleaner / carb rubber is the correct one for our machines,

One is a 1951 Golden Flash Plunger and the other is a 1953 (A7 stamped frame and A10 650cc engine).

Two part numbers come from our books and DRAGANFLY adds a little more info to the part numbers:

67-4596, D/F list as for the "A7"
67-4589, D/F lists as for the "A10".

Apparently there is one fin height difference between to A7 / A10 model ?.

Is the "A7" label fitting for only the 500CC machines, and the frames are just stamped A7, and the catergory for a 650cc is A10 by default ?.

If that is the case, the 67-4589 would be the correct part ?.

This has been discussed before so you might find the answer by looking through old threads. There are straight connectors and angled ones, according to the type of housing used. I did buy one for my bike but when it came it was the angled type whereas I needed the straight one, which appears to be unobtainable.

Here is a picture of the two items, apparently the one on the left is the A7 item.

Yes, those are the angled ones I mentioned. All the A10s  had A7 frame numbers but the carb was mounted higher on the A10 because of it's longer stroke. The long stroke A7 would have had the straight type connector like I need for mine so can be ignored. As you say, the one on the left would be the short stroke A7 one so you need the one on the right.
