Thanks for the comments chaps.
The bike is running really well. I did have a problem with the gearbox which was a bit puzzling (see TECH) but that is all sorted now.
The rear brake is giving me a bit of a migrane at the moment - cant stop it juddering (also see TECH), tried everything.
I'v just done the first oil change and fitted a period rack and steel panniers (still in their original gold paint) together with some sand coloured 1941 canvas packs, as I'm off to central France in a week (from SW UK) for 2 weeks.
Should be quite an adventure !
