Somehow I just don't trust old conrods and crankshafts completely for these purposes...

Talking about old conrods;
Take a look at my Indians conrods:



I've had mopeds with rods looking substantially larger.

..anyway they've been Magnaflux tested for cracks and shot-peened



and everyone who know about them tells me not to worry.
They are in fact quite strong.
We'll see, won't we.

Hi Mike.
Seeing that you are a member of the "Ton Up" club;
I've just had a visit in my workshop of a guy who is a member of the Danish chapter of your club.
I meet him guy via a Danish motorcycle forum.
He just, quite brilliantly,  build a supercharged Norton:
