Hi
Im wondering if carb could be the cause of engine suddenly stop?
In case that everything else are correct..
Just my engine stop....didnt start again..
The only thing that i sure know is that i had fuel in carb(it ticker fine) and needle was still in place..
Any thought??what do i have to check?

G'day Emilios, if the carb has fuel and looks ok I would have another look at the mag pinion. Re-check the timing, it may have slipped.

Emilios, just a thought, when your engine stopped could it have been the magneto earth shorting out? Have you checked the wire from the "kill" button to see if there is a break in the insulation anywhere? I think that if you had fuel reaching the carburettor it is most unlikely that fuel was the source of your problem. You might have a faulty kill button even. If the engine will not start try starting it with the kill button and its wire disconnected from the magneto. Also check that the brushes are actually making a good contact with the slip ring and that the slip ring is clear of carbon dust. If you have a good spark from the plugs then I agree that the timing could have slipped, but normally if the timing slips your engine would not have stopped running without some popping and banging from the exhaust. Did it do that or did it just stop? I lost the ignition on my A10 when one of the point contacts fell off.
