Hi all. I'm rebuilding a 1962 A10 Super Rocket and have determined there is 0.024" crankshaft end float. I ordered the appropriate thickness shims and have received them but am uncertain that they are the correct ones. The O.D. of the drive side of the crankshaft on which seats the inner roller bearing measures 1.18" whereas the I.D. of the shims I have measures 1.25". Does that sloppy a fit not matter since they will be inboard of the bearing or do I have the wrong shims, please?
Thanks in advance,
Paul
I posted this on the Britbike forum, also, so if you've already seen/responded to it there, please ignore this. Thanks
