 Reckon that's the "before" picture, "after" would be a pile of bits and body parts. The principle of a prop driven conveyance is fine, but all need lateral stability to counter the engine torque.

 Catamaran style or wide flat bottomed hull types won the day. As for the unguarded prop.....sheer madness of design.
