Out for a thrash on my heavily modified A10 - Nice video footage

Hi all

I took my rather 'special' A10 out for a thrash recently as I wanted to test the speedo - which I was convinced under-reads. With a handlebar mounted phone running a GPS speedo app I found I was right! I had my helmet mounted GoPro and a microphone too and the footage came out REALLY well. The video was great. Based on our comparative sizes, my bike works a lot harder to get up to the same speeds. By my guess of your weight, I'm burning 16% more petrol. How much difference in performance did you realize after drilling out the steering damper knob?

Hi all

Glad you enjoyed my video. Regarding the front hub, it is a Suzuki GT750J 4LS one, turned and lightened, then milled out holes next to the spokes for lightness (and to look cool!)
The brake plates are reduced in width, material taken off the inners, and openings milled in the sides for increased air flow. Then race linings were fitted...

The forks are also GT750J ones, machined a little at the bottom, and with lighter springs fitted.

The bike sits higher at the front, has improved ground clearance, handles beautifully and stops like you wouldn't believe

I like the way drilling between the spokes scalloped the fins on the drum, and, yes, those holes would seem to offer worthwhile lightening.
