Wanted pilot lens for underslung headlight

Am looking for the pilot lens, clip and globe holder to suit a lucas underslung headlight SSU700P/1. I believe that the lens is lucas part 516386. Thanks Mark

 Lens and  lamp internals used as a sidelight on the Daimler Dart, so Classic Car parts websites are a possible source. Plenty here in the UK....won't rust, reckon they are made of gold.

 Spot on GB. Many are made in India by the look of it. But I would never consider that any of these repro low tec products represent value for money. Retail price seems crazy for a pressing, some plating and a Chinese lightbulb behind a bit of glass or plastic. The same product is offered by numerous sellers, so hardly a rare item which commands a cachet value.

  As to cost versus perceived value, maybe its me who is out of step, but I suppose we all have a choice as to how we spend on what. Sellers will continue to ask these prices as long as folk are prepared to pay. Please stop buying Longstroke Camshafts.......I'm still waiting for the  Clearout Sale.....

Let’s face it we put much more money into our bike than is justifiable economically. That is because they are a much loved mechanical friend.  I started to keep a record of everything I spent but it frightened me so much I gave up instead I just look at the fun it gives me.

When I had an engineer help me rebuild the engine he asked me what wanted to do the bike since I specified GF camshaft and pistons. I initially stated I wanted to restore and ride it. I gave up trying to restore my GF. Just get it in a state where I am proud to be riding it. 

Dig deep into your pocket if that will make you smile. You have just got to decide what it worth to you.

Found an original lens locally and ordered a bulb holder and sealing rubber from draganfly. £3.95 postage to Aus. How does Ebay get away with its postage charges?
