G'day Eric.
What size? Draganfly list A7 rings in +20,40,60. Without knowing the breed of piston will be hard as the radial depth and width of the groove is important.

Bergs - as I'm sure you know (but others may not) rings are only marked 'top' when they need to be - eg when the outside face is tapered and not parallel to the bore, or there's a rebate on the inside (which must be uppermost).

RDfella yes QUALITYYYY , not like the ones i've had spitting neat oil out shaped like 50p pieces from a famous british engine building firm. i was raging mad when i had to strip the engine and marking blue things to find the problem. they said they would bed in, haha never in my life time they wouldn't. GAGGS at nottingham were amazed they sent them to me. i ran the ganginis down the bores at there shop to make sure, perfect put them in and perfect straight away . the difference in price is worth paying .

Piston is a Venolia. Only markings I can find are the number 262 on the underside of the crown. My digital caliper says 66.4mm which seems like an odd size I will mic these later this week and see what I have. Coating does not look thick enough to effect the measurement.

Hi All
I'm a fan of Gandini rings, but last time I tried to buy from Gandini I was asked for an Italian tax code. I didn't have one so I made one up using the guidance on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_fiscal_code). The rings arrived so it must have worked - whether it subsequently caused chaos at the Italian tax office, I don't know (or care!).

When I measure the widest part of the piston skirt. I get a bit over 2.614 which is very close to 66.4mm. I can find rings listed as 0.040", but I have been unable to locate 0.4mm pistons in the US. I may need to track down Draganfly and order from them.

Hi  maaseyracer,
You need to measure the cylinder bore to order the correct rings
I'll bet it will be 64.5
The piston is smaller than the nominal size by the clearance needed

John,

You are correct. The bore is Roughly 2.617" or 66.47mm.
I am on the lookout for 0.020" or 0.5mm rings.
