There was a piece on TV this morning about the Falklands debacle. What a terrible shame that so many lives were destroyed over those piddling rocks in the South Atlantic. Maggie Thatcher was partly to blame for that.

Why wouldn't the UK fight to protect a British Overseas Territory being invaded by a failing foreign power?
Had no time for Thatcher but she was right in this instance.

G'day Fellas.
I was in a shopping center yesterday in the ciggy shop. At 11am the prop turned the lights out and we stood silent for one minute. The rest of the place was business as usual. We both shook our heads.
Cheers

My son was up visiting and we put down what we were working on and spent our time in silence. Remembered my great uncles and great grandfather from the First World War luckily they all made it out alive. One uncle survived North Africa then the Italian campaign but he was never right with the world. A sad man. All worth remembrance.
