What's new around here??? Me.
« on: 10.10. 2022 15:21 »
Hi folks, thanks for having me. I'm based in Dublin and I'm here because I've just become the proud owner of a '52  Golden Flash, having picked it up in Austria and ridden it back last week from France. Hell of a way to make sure it's running right! Looking forward to dipping into the vast font of knowledge here.

Welcome to the best forum you could join. Lots of great skills of here. That was quiet a shake down trip! I have a 1953 plunger framed A10 and love to ride it, but watch out for the pot holes in the road. Lloyd L

Thanks for the welcome. No problems at all muskrat, and gave me a chance to learn it's starting foibles, every bike is different, goes first time now.👍

Welcome Flashdrive,  *welcome*That was a good road test. Name change to Flashride seems appropriate.

Cheers John. I take it you were at Leopardstown on Saturday? Some fantastic machines, very few BSAs though.

Hi FD,
Yes I traveled up from the "Peoples Republic" for the weekend, Our son is living in Greystones so handy for Leopardstown
As you say very few or any BSA's on show  *sad2*
Anyway I caught up with quite a few people that I had not seen since Covid hit, so that was a little compensation
I didn't find much at the jumble or trade stands , just some oil pipe and a couple of LED instrument lights for the MGB
