Fitting a Conical Rear Hub to an A10
« on: 09.03. 2022 20:18 »
Hi all,

With shortages of 19" WM3 rims in the UK I opted to go with a smart akront rim that I had collected to fit on my QD rear hub however I have found that it was originally fitted to a conical hub and therefore the wheel builder cannot make it fit, original plan was to fit a conical rear on my cafe racer build but moved away from the idea as the project was taking too long!

I have decided to continue with the conical rear hub and was wondering if anyone has any tips on getting it to fit. The spindle I have is currently too long to fit and looks like I need to have some kind of bearing/grease retainer as I no longer require the speedo take off!

I have seen a few bikes with them fitted but no "HOW TO" posts to assist me along the way!

Any help would be greatly apreciated!
