New Member Introduction
« on: 23.10. 2021 17:59 »
Hello all,

I'm new to the forum and a new BSA owner. I hope this post is in the right place!

My dear friend and long time riding companion recently passed away and he was kind enough to leave me his beloved 1959 A10 Super Rocket. It is unrestored and in original condition apart from the front brake and some other minor bits and bobs. He had many vintage bikes through the years but this A10 was his favorite and he rode it on many of our voyages. Now I'll give it a good home in the garage with my '69 Norton Mercury.

The bike has been sitting for a while so I'm going through it (oil, new tire, fuel lines and petcocks etc) to get it roadworthy. I'll be looking forward to the information and feedback I get from this forum as I enjoy riding and tinkering on this awesome machine.

I'm in the SF Bay Area so I will probably join the NorCal BSA club as well and plan on attending the All British Ride in a couple weeks.

Cheers!

Bike looks fabulosa and great that it has been shared to a friend, love that connection and continuity. Close inspection of the reflection on the tank reveals a chair and possibly a gentleman in shorts? Lots of good times and fond memories ahead with such a handsome steed. Referencing the bike not the reflection in the last sentence.
