Ok folks , stripping down the primary side now , apparently its a triumph clutch , looks like i need a puller , would it be the triumph tt100 puller that is required , also is it best to stick with this clutch , thanks phil.

Hi oceanobsession,
The original clutch shaft adaptors have a 26tpi thread where some of the replica's have a coarser thread the same as BSA A65 adaptors 20tpi
Unless you need to remove the inner primary case there is no need to remove the shaft adaptor to work on the clutch.
The 4 spring clutch is regarded as an upgrade and BSA changed to this type around 1960

Thanks john for your help and advice , this bike has been in a garage since 1969 , rebuilt engine shortly before , but im stripping
down everything to test/check . phil.
