G'day Minto.
Good work be it fiddly and time consuming.
Pitty you didn't have a lathe to clamp the center boss on the spindle and  *bash* the plate square.
Now for a test ride, be gentle, we don't want things coming un-stuck or lock-up.
Cheers

Cheers Musky
Yeah a big mofo lathe would've been ideal, as would a big ol workshop to put it in. Oh well, maybe in my next life.
I'm off to my caravan in Wales for a week tomorrow so I'll have a fifteen minute test ride round the block before setting off just to make sure it's all as ok as it looks to be.

Well, arrived in one piece at my caravan in Bala. The brake seems fine and an improvement on how it was.
I've been for a couple of short blasts since I got here and the brake seems to be a little better again today, might it be that the shoes are making more contact now and starting to bed in properly, or maybe my imagination?
Going to get it apart again when I get home and examine the wear on the shoes, should give me an idea of how it's doing.
