I've set up a small regular bank transfer. I don't need to worry about PayPal and my conscience is fairly clear

Just don't know where the years have gone since I first found the forum.  I have generally just dropped in and out when needing technical help.  Pleased to say it remains a friendly and helpful forum and long may it stay so.  Recently been on facebook looking at a BSA page.  However, have left and will be leaving facebook because of the way it obtains and uses the data about us.  So just taken a deeper look on this forum and didn't realise how extensive it is.  Will endeavour to make more use of it.  One post on facebook I found interesting which I have not found on here is a guy was giving a trip report day by day on his tour.  Wondered if something similar would be a good idea for this site?  Keep up the good work and thank you.  Contribution made.

Of course possible, just up to anyone to do it anytime, a new topic in "Introductions, Member's Stories & Pictures" and post updates along the way. Many trip reports there already, but usually posted after getting home. These days one needs just a phone, take some photos, log in to forum and post. (Only thing, not try to post those immense megaphotos produced by phones these days, needs to be downscaled (≤ 2 MB) before uploading, lots of apps available to do this swiftly).

And thanks+++ for donations, pays the forum bills :O)

I think you may be talking about the bloke touring New Zealand. Lovely pictures!

I'm not paranoid about the Internet gathering my data. My understanding is it's Big Data they are interested in to predict social trends, rather than personal stuff. In any case I don't have secrets.
