The new guy
« on: 01.12. 2019 21:51 »
Greetings everyone,

Thanks for adding me to the site. My name is Dave Stahnke and I would call myself a preserver of motorcycle history. I dig restoring vintage bikes and have OCMD (obsessive compulsive motorcycle disorder). I've owned a 1971 BSA Thunderbolt, currently have a 1965 BSA Lightning Rocket, and now I'm building an 1960 A10 Super Rocket.

I also have an interest in vintage Honda's especially the early CB750's and the CBX. I also have a fascination with BMW airheads. I'm well versed in Honda's and more than proficient with BMW's but I'm on the learning curve with early pre-unit british twins.

Growing up my father had a few BSA A10's which I vaguely remember and I believe this is where my want for an A10 stemmed from. I've wanted one for the past 5 years and last year I was able to acquire three project A10s. My goal is to build one out of the parts and possibly a golden flash with the leftover parts.

I'll most likely need assistance along the way and an occasional part. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

G'day again Dave.
Thanks for the intro.
Great CB77 resto you put up. https://cb77superhawk.weebly.com/  a mate of mine just did a CB72. I'm into the DOHC 750/900/1100's.
The workings of an A10 are much less complicated so should be a breeze for you.
Cheers
