I have put this on here as it must be Carb related,
having finished the Gold Flash and finding out the mag was breaking down when hot, I fitted a Thorspark ignition system until a mag rebuild in the winter months, anyway, both with the mag and now with the Thorspark, to start the bike, I have to tickle the carb and then kick it with the throttle nearly wide open, it will start first or second kick and then tick over nicely, I have done 40 miles now and it pulls and runs well.
It will not start with the choke, I have the original air filter fitted. All my previous BSA's have started with no or very little throttle.
Is this a common thing? or do I have a carb problem?
