Got the standard set up on my A10, front and back work fine.  Have noticed that I have to keep the front brake lever a bit slack when it's cold as it closes up quite a bit when hot.  A good pull on the front is enough to make the whole bike shudder to a stop - not smooth but very effective for its age/drum brakes!

Brakes only slow you down.  *lol*
 The 7" on the A7 plunger didn't even do that. 5 broken ribs and a punctured lung on the boot lid of a car to prove it *ex*

Thanks for all the replies guys. 

Regarding the brakes, I will finish the bike first as it is and try the standard  7" frontbrake.  @Rocket Racer, thanks for offering one of your sets but I agree that shipping costs will be out of proportion.
