re the pwk carbs on the recent thread - this popped up on some ad recently:

looks like the same-ish thing - not sure of quality of course. but could be interesting as a cheap as chips alternative if someone is brave enough.i did note the comments about pwks being hard to re-jet on the recent post. anyone tried one direct from china?

Fitted a cheap (£17 delivered ) lookalike to my nephews 175 bantam. Fired first kick just needed a tweak for tickover. He says it has a bit more top end and midrange but bogs a little on pickup. Might need a higher slide ? Bargain.

i got one on my A65 and starts great with enricher, once warmed up runs great.

I reckon a new cheap flat slide is better than an old worn out amal any day!

G'day fellas.
Their spigot mount not flange mount like the JRC's.

You're right, forgot to mention that. Spigot to flange conversion wasn't worth making as they're under a tenner complete with rubber delivered.

I have a Kawasaki ATV Grizzly something we bought  back in late 1990s and the CV stock carb is giving us grief,   Also rebuilding some 20 HP twin cyl Briggs & Stratton mowers for field mowing on our farm so thinking of ordering soon one of the eBay cheapos once I decide sizing.  Figure as a loyal JRC dealer and consumer Id like to investigate the comparison between the JRC/PKW & Taiwan cheapos.
On the JRC site they show a Mongtgomery Wards mower fitted with one so, got to be sight better than the OEM mower carb.

We are having fuel problems as well as much of the local petrol is chock full of alcohol, I spent part of today cleaning and flushing the fuel systems on several lawn and garden implements of destruction.  Mrs Sluggo went to bed early with a splitting headache from running one of the lawn tractors.  Going to have to address the exhaust systems as well.  Maybe not swept backs and Gold star twittering mufflers or reverse cone Dunstalls but the design has the exhaust spitting out in front and blowing back in your face. So, she normally enjoys mowing with her MP3 player and a Margarita in the cup holder, But need to address the problems.

G'day fellas.
On one of my JRC's had a damaged "O"ring under the jet block. Very intricate shape. Couldn't find one until I found a "PWK" repair kit on ebay. Obviously a knock off. Had a slide, all the jets a float & needle in a nice plastic container for less than a six pack of beer! I got two. https://tinyurl.com/y3dfwdzj
