Fuel taps for original tank
« on: 10.08. 2018 19:27 »
Fuel tank on my Flash is original both fuel taps on my Flash are Ewarts, I removed them as it seemed to be taking a bit to long to tickle the carb, both have collapsed filters with holes at the base, don't quite know how they could be repaired so looks like new taps.( not too much dross in the tank thankfully )
Anyone able to recommend make or supplier for decent taps
My other bike has brass adapters in the tank to take the taps that came with it, my Flash has not, I think the size is 3/8 BSP can anyone confirm this

Thanks Bill

I fitted BAP taps to my SR about six years back and they are now starting to leak. I fitted some brass lever taps from Feked on my Matchless which seem a good idea as they can be lapped if they start to leak. I may give them a try on the SR. Available with or without filter gauze.
