A BIG HELLO

A big Hello to all and a thank you admin.  Just a quick introduction, I’m Dave and I’m an (A10) addict. It all started about 30 years ago with a Honda CD175 then an XS250 Z650, Z750 twin and on to an A10 Bitza.
She was a bit of everything, A10 lump, gearbox and frame, Norton primary case with Triumph alternator and clutch. The mag was dumped for a points conversion with the coil in the tool box. The rest was japanese on an extended swinging arm and Sanglass front end. TBH she wasn’t a looker but went like a rocket and wasn’t shy about setting off the odd car alarm through town.
That was back before the interweb and only the Haynes joke book and good mates could you on the road. Maybe it’s a mid-life crisis or madness but I have found myself looking at another box o bits and may need some help to resurrect another old girl from the parts bin and back into the breeze.
What a wonderful resource this site is. I hope I can give at least a fraction back in return to repay the wealth of knowledge and information that everyone has posted here.
I’m off to the shed…..

 Hiya Daithi-Dave, Your flag looks like could be Green-white-orange/ red but same as  CL-Johns, so I'm guessing 'Daithi' may be a Gælic way of doing 'Dave'... ..(I now get Irish and Italian flag mixed, due to Moto Gutzzly electrics- I thought your colours was opposite )

 Anyway when you say '......but I have found myself looking at another box o bits .....', does that mean they in your possession and under ownership?
         

 Nah- just jokin'- that's how I did mine, but was never to be a resto, just a rider...and now it's a rider is a constant source of attention, one way or another...Welcome aboard

...and the way I see the Italian flag is red white green, but Tom at the Gutzzly shop says green white red because it starts at the pole, but I argued it depends which way the wind is blowing and which side I'm looking at it from...

Good intro. Looking forward to hearing more on whatever you get stuck into. I made the CD175 -> A10 step in one go. Took a long time before that came good.
