Hi. My name is tom & a few years back I bought an A10 of 64 vintage intending to renovate it back to some former point in history. Well it didn't happen and sadly it got put to the back of the shed and put on hold.
This year I finaly had time to have a closer look at what I was up against. I did post a few pictures when I bought the bike, it is very much a mongrel, though most of the running gear is A10, the motor is a 650 6T Triumph, Gearbox is a , i think AJS/ Matchles, Burgman fourspeed unit. Front end is japaneese Kawasaki KH.
As I said I now now what I am up against. I got the motor running & sorted some other problems to actualy get it on the road , this bike is good fun...it realy is. I can go out on my Aprilia RSV 100R and come back out of warp with a silly grin all over my face. The old BSA has the same effect, it pleases just as much, but in a different way. So I won't change it , I like what it is and it doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is. I still have things to do to make it look more period "front end " and reliability, mainly a missfire when warm on one cylinder ,BTH magneto ? Next year I will be out there .....with a smile on my face.
