alternative BSA petrol tank on A10 plunger

Thanks everyone for admitting me to the forum.
I'm a recent owner of a '53 A10 plunger (see picture below) 

I was wandering if a A7 tank with deep dent in the bottom (same as shown in the other picture) can fit on a A10 without modifications.
Or even more a M20 tank which I assumes is shown in the third picture attached.
But I believe this requires modification to the bottom to fit the A10 much taller engine...

Anyone did this already?
I find the original A10 tank too chunky whereas the A7/M20's look more slender and elegant.

I replaced the original tank on my '51 A7 Star Twin with one from a '54 Gold Flash. Straight swap. Reason? Up here in sunny Scotland it can be a long way to the nearest petrol station so the extra capacity is welcome. So it's likely the opposite will work.

in terms of fastenings I'm sure it works straight both ways.
Now with GF tank on you should have a larger gap between the engine top end and bottom of the tank as A10's is taller than A7.
This is my question indeed when attempting to do the opposite as yours: does A10 valve cover fit under A7 tank ?

Enrico they did make tank for the A10 in the shape you are after. I fitted one to a plunger A10 I built a few years ago. I have only ever seen a couple of them though so might be hard to find but it you keep searching you might get lucky.

Beautiful bikes but I just cant come to terms with the single seat "look" though, the dual seat across the back mudguard just finishes the bike so much better I reckon (comfort aside of course!) Lol....

Two points in favour of the single saddle. 1. Comfort, especially on potholed roads - and we have plenty of them. 2. A rear carrier (when fitted) is directly over the rear wheel, not sticking out behind it. Much more stable.

With the somewhat skinny underpadded Super Rocket dual seat there are times when the vibration on my A10 actually blurs my vision! I reckon an extra set of springs under my rear end would do no harm at all...I fitted a single saddle on an old Enfield India 500 a few years ago, along with the peashooter exhaust and an Amal carby it made it looked much more the thing and I found it to be very comfy indeed.  I miss that old bike in many ways.
