Hello everyone. Just thought I would say hello and introduce myself.
I am not new to the world of bikes and BSA's are a familiar territory. I cut my teeth (knuckles ,wrists, forehead...) on a BSA Bantam (several of them!) and moved on up to a C11G and a C15 . I have just purchased my first...(that was a Freudian slip) BSA A7 . She is a 1954 swing arm with an alloy head. At least she will be when I get her together. At the moment she is a Frame . Dismantled forks , rusty old wheels complete bottom end Ally head and lots of tinwear. Hopefully, I will be able to get her together and up and running with the kind help of likeminded people.

Welcome to the forum. *welcome* That sounds like a fun basket of parts you've acquired. We will be looking forward to the stories and pictures in all states of the restoration. Lot's of folks here happy to help with questions and give advice if and when you need it (and maybe if you don't).  *smile*

G'day gpo746  *welcome*
A 54 A7 with an alloy head would be an A7Shooting Star. Is the inlet cast or bolt on?
I prefer the A7 to the A10 as they rev harder  *bash*.
Cheers

Hello muskrat, The inlet is a alloy bolt on . Does this matter at all?

G'day gpo746.
No that's good. It's the real deal. Those heads are like rocking horse poo.
