Oil Leaking from timing chest

I have now got my long stroke running very good but I have a nasty leak oil coming from bottom of timing cover. Oil return is great to the tank, rocker feed is awesome everything seems to flow normal I ran it without cover and it just totally fills up around oil pump is that supposed to circulate some other place??Could pressure relief valve have anything to do with it I could not get it apart to make sure ball is moving freely??

Yes this is normal. The oil comming  out from the timingside bush bearing. You better not run the engineg without the cover otherwise the bush is worn out very quick. If you have a leak the gasket is in bad condition. Also take care in overtighten the four bolts around the oilpump. You can try to stop the leaking with some silicone on the gasket at this area put on both sides of the gasket.

Gasket was pretty bad and ball was stuck in housing of oil pressure relief valve got it all buttoned up seems like leak slowed down but ran out of gas will have to test ride on weekend. Thank you for input..

 Hey Drew, as previously discussed, the timing chest fills with oil up to the big hole(about 50cc?) in the back behind the oil pump I think Kiwi GF has the Big Pic and thread (one day i'll remember it)
