Hi all,
I have recently retired and although I don't seem to have any more time on my hands than I did when I was working, I'd like to get my old A10 out of retirement.  It has been kept dry since the mid eighties and hopefully should not require too much to get it back on the road.  I'm sure that this forum will help me do this.
I have been riding since then but on slightly more modern equipment, namely CG125s and an ER5.

 *good3* High Steve. We like to have all the juicy details of members BSA's and pictures if possible.
I restored my A10 after I retired three years ago. Be warned, a quick fix-up tends to turn into a full scale restoration requiring deep pockets.

Your first mission, (should you choose to accept it) is to search the forum for the phrases 'sludge trap' and 'clean'  *work*

Hi Steve, Yes I know what u mean about retirement I have been so busy after retirement that I'm thinking of putting another man on! *eek*
yes I agree with GB that slug trap can be a real trap.

Hi Steve.
You face similar challenge to me back in 2012,  retired, decorating done, garden tidy, now time to get the old girl back on the road, bike laid up for 29yrs in my case, complete strip is only safe way to treat these old girls.
As already mentioned sludge trap is the killer, to get a clue of its condition just look in the bottom of your oil tank.
