Smoking from one side?

Hi all

Once more I need to consult the Oracle:). I have an issue with my Golden Flash. For some reason she has started smoking noticeably more from the left hand side. It is whitish blue smoke and does not get noticeably less when she is warm and increases under revving. Although I hate to admit it it seems to possibly as a result of me over tightening things on the top end after polishing the rocker box area as it seemed to start after that. Is it possible I have put something out of sync so to speak ?.She runs fine and the mechanic says that all the clearances etc are fine.

A bit of additional info...the plugs seemed to be relatively clean on checking them.

G'day Andy.
It could be an exhaust valve guide leaking into the pipe and burning, that wouldn't affect plug colour. drop the header pipe off and have a look for damp patch around the guide.
