Hi Anji, Yep same box, only things I know of that may change is the RRT2 boxes have a needle roller layshaft, but a bush could still be used if need be-just not a standard one- and gear ratios for different models,
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

Hi

Just located a g/box casing in the scrap market Delhi with no 56 3141. Can this be used in place of 42 3006
Thanks, Anji

Hi Anji

You probably looked casting number 66-3141. It is part number 66-3140 and belongs to 1949-62 B/M rigid and plunger, different to A models box.

There's one on the UK Ebay site at the moment. Use the following as your search     GEARBOX CASE 42 3006
