Long stroke wrist pins

I just got a set of new/old stock hepolite pistons with wrist pins installed it took a lot of coaxing with heat to get them out, how tight are the supposed to be?? I tried the hot water and cold for the pins as well as oven at 350 and I just cant seem to push them in by hand.Seems like all the other bikes I have worked on they slid together real easy..

G'day Drew. The pistons will need to be hot (too hot for a bare hand). I heat the crown with a hot air gun till they push out. Only push the pin out of one side and leave about 2mm visible on the other side (makes it easier to locate in the rod whilst handling a hot piston). Put a clip in the open side and push the pin home.
The trouble with heating in the oven is it heats the pin as well.
