Longtime guest but new member
« on: 12.10. 2015 12:36 »
Hi to all forum members. This is my first post.  I am not brilliant with computors, spelling or typing so I hope you will bear with me. I have been a quest reader and knowlege gatherer on this excellent forum for some time which has helped enormasly when i have experianced problems with my beloved 1960 super rocket, which I have owned for about 30 years I am a leisure only rider mainly at weekends and sunny days.  I have coverd approx 50,000 miles on the bike in this time. I rebuilt the engine and gear box in 1992  and have coverd 19,000 miles since.  it has been generally very reliable ( recoverd once due to broken gear change return spring as I was to far from home to attept to ride home in a single gear ) I share my riding hours between the super rocket and my other bike which is a 1954 plunger framed B31 they are  very differant beasts but it would be difficult to choose my favorite as they both give me a great deal of pleasure and pride of ownership.

Introduction over I currently have a cylinder head/valve spring problem on the A 10 which I will post in the correct section

Regards  Brian H

Brian,

Welcome to the forum. *welcome* That's an excellent intro and we look forward to mores stories about your bikes as well as photos. Maybe something in "Just A Picture", keeping it easy, wordage wise, because you would only include year and model for description. If you haven't already gathered it, you will soon learn who are our experts here, all very willing to offer help with basic, complicated or obscure questions. My own expertise: trouble maker. *smile*

By the way, about where are you located? (Not asking for your address.)

Richard L.

Great intro, we often forget the hundreds of lookers daily gathering info.
After 30 years and 50K miles, you'll know your bike inside and out.

Yes, clearly. You will soon be answering some of my baffled questions.
