There is NO seat on this motorcycle, Dad was tucked down in between the rear fender and the fuel tank, basically sitting on the frame.
Thank you for all the kind words - yes he is my Hero!
I have been blessed to have this piece of history, and would love any addition information on Dads career if anyone has it, and photos. I would love to put a portfolio together for him.

Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

Thank you everyone for remembering my Father. I think it's important to preserve, and remember this era in motorcycling. I could sit and listen to my Dad bench race for hours, please keep any comments, and memories coming in your comments. I also share them with Dad, and he is really enjoying them. Dad's memory isn't what it should be, but his racing days are his happiest ones, and he does remember them pretty clearly. Again, thank you, from Gene Thieesen's biggest fan. His daughter

A good rider periodically checks all nuts and bolts with a spanner to see that they are tight - Instruction Manual for BSA B series, p46, para 2.
