Bleed prime oil system
«

I've had the oil drained out of my 1949 A7 Star Twin, including the pipes disconnected, for a few months. I've not removed the oil pump. Is it necessary to bleed prime the oil system before starting the bike?
Many thanks, Peter.

G'day Peter.
Fill the tank the night before you start her.
If still unsure, remove spark plugs, remove pressure relief valve, kick till oil emerges from prv .
Cheers

I've never had to bleed the system but leave the feed loose and nip up when the oil appears ,plugs out and into gear and push until you get a return at the tank, otherwise kick for England, best of luck, Bob

I pulled out the spark plugs, grounded the mag, put it in second gear and pushed it around the driveway. It didn't take very long before I got oil.
