Hello from the States
« on: 27.03. 2015 15:21 »
Hello all, I'm new to the Forum but not really new to BSA motorcycles.  The pictures are of a 1959 A10 Super Rocket that my father purchased new in 1959 from a dealer in Springfield Massachusetts (for the righteous sum of $399.00 US).  He died in 1991 and I've had the bike sitting in my garage since then.  Two years ago I decided to restore it, and did a Complete Nut & Bolt Restoration.  My father learned to "hate" the blue tank and swapped it out for the 1960 style black tank.  I was able to locate a correct tank some years ago to make the bike correct (to be honest, the blue has taken some time to get used to).  The bike runs well, always starts on the first kick and sounds "wonderful".  I do browse the Forums now and again, mostly to look at the pictures.  I finally decided to share mine. ;)

Your Pop would be extremely proud of that beauty, (apart from the blue tank  ;))!

G'day East Coast BSA  *welcome*.
You've done a beautiful job on her. I quite like that colour.
Now to ride her for a few decades before handing her on to your kids.
Cheers

ECB,

Welcome to the forum. At this point it seems redundant to say, "that's a beautiful bike." A blind person rubbing his or her hands over the bike would know it in a second. Fantastic work.

I see you are in Connecticut. Inland or coastal, if you don't mind saying? I'm outside of Chicago.
