saw hailwood  at  senior tt 1964 he won on the mv lapping at 105 the second lap? of 101 was done in a summer thunderstorm pouring with rain a sight i shall never forget a howl a cloud of spray and he was gone without doubt the finest racer of our time

My thoughts echo'ed ,always loved the fact he could switch from 6cyl exotica to single Manx and result was the same ..... A winner . The way it ended was just so unfair but it's life no one no matter how good a rider or driver can be immune from the idiot factor. In my mind he was the best and always will be ! Give him a knighthood . Bobh

remember in early 60s i.o.m hailwood and bill ivy took two local girls for a ride in his brand new ferrari which he brought over to the island from the italian gp he wrote it off big style on a dry stone wall and it was only insured to drive in italy thats the least of my problems how do i explain it to the wife

Fully agree with Mike getting a knighthood, but what about John Surfers the only man to win world title s on 2 and 4 wheels, true living legend.
1960 Super Rocket, owned since 1966, back on the road 2012 after being laid up for 29yrs.

Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy
