Hi All - took the plunge (no pun intended) and registered after quite a few months trawling the forum to learn a bit about my 55 A10 Goldenflash Plunger. Got lots to go at and improve/maintain, so can hopefully post a few lines here and there and some pics when I get chance. Many thanks in advance for any help and advice which may be given. Cheers for now. Met.

Hi Wozza thanks for the welcome. Managed to get pic on avatar hopefully and will get a couple of pics on the bikes thread later. Im from sturton by stow nr lincoln in uk and have quite a good classic scene out here with meets every wednesday and a bit of a club for the "ode giffers" of saxilby and area. My mate has a 54 plunger so we get to compare ailments as they crop up which is useful and access to machining facilities as we both woek at an engineering company (hope the boss isnt on here)!! Were also into the old ww2 stuff as well. The canadian lancs over at the moment so will get to hear 8 merlins hopefully soon (12 at east kirkby with theirs taxying). The beezer just seems so right its like you are back in the 50s around here in bomber county. Steam rally on tomorrow at the end of the road so the a10 will fit in with the smell of oil and steam (and cider).  *smiley4*

Welcome Metty , has wozza says this is a really great place to get info and for general encouragement when things seem abit off song, everyone is helpful and there are lots of really clever knowledgeable and helpful guys here we are all still learning. Quite alot of us are into warbirds as well and I'm envious of you being able to see and hear such a glorious moment , I'm over to east kirkby sometime soon ,my lad bought me a tour on "Lady jane " and I'm also awaiting any dates for the 2 lancs up here in the northwest ,something about "the sigh "of a merlin let alone 12 of the wee beasties !!! enjoy and please report back in chat and diverse, best wishes BobH.

Welcome. I'm at Leamington Spa so within riding distance; maybe we will meet at an old bike gathering some time.
Nice to hear of another '55 plunger on here. Is it in original form, as God intended?
