Hi Derek,

My guess is that as the clutch push-rod rotates when the bike is running, the back of the grub screw will be case hardened in order to minimize wear.  So basically it's to prevent the centre of the outer pressure plate from wearing through.

Hey Derek,

I know this is off topic but I was wondering how close to Hull you were.

If you were reasonably close and free towards late afternoon of Thursday 1st. May, there will be a contingent of BSA's heading for the P&O Ferry Terminal.  Myself being amongst them.

There will probably be about 40 of us arriving there in small groups sometime between 3.30 and 4.45pm.  We're heading for the John Bull Rally in Belgium so we'll be well loaded up with camping gear.  Just thought you might be interested.
