I'm looking for the battery carrier/ air filter housing for a 1952 plunger that I'm putting together. I believe they're one unit. I have an A7 one that I could trade .  The air filter outlet on the A7 housing is different from the a10.  Located in San Diego,ca,USA.

What is the difference? I have an extra A7 one (I think) , but not sure 100% if it's A7 or A10, can you post pics of the one you have? Vincent

look in the body parts forum, I just got an older post with a picture of an A10 battery carrier/air filter housing .  The opening for the rubber piece in the A10 housing is oblong and higher than the one for the A7.  Does yours have a round outlet to the carb or an oblong one as seen in the picture?

The round hole filters are the early long stroke type.
Later the A7 & A10 used the same thing with a different connection rubber.

Keep looking Bill. They don't come up very often, I've seen a couple on ebay the last year or so.
Cheers

That Ebay item is complete with the filter holder.

Luckily my filter box was present and complete with the filter part but missing the rubber connector to the carb which I was able to expensively source* from USA. I had the old fabric zig-zag filter element but it wasn't in very good condition. I made a new filter from a Triumph/BSA triple air filter; they have enough material to make a couple of BSA filters.

*The A10 and the A7 carb to filter rubbers are different so be careful.

Draganfly do the top and bottom battery brackets to allow the air box to be repaired, they don't come up very often so may be worth getting and repairing. They are parts 66-4895A Top repair bracket (weld to old carrier) and 66-4895B Bottom repair bracket (weld to old carrier)

Don't give up Bill. There's one out there with your name on it. It'll find you eventually.
Cheers
