Long stroke rods

Could I use a set of long stroke rods as well as crank in an early A10 motor since they had the same stroke??

Long stroke = 82mm, A10 = 84mm.
Different drive side main bearing diameter.
Crappy steel rods.
Why bother?
Having said that, you then get the problem of different rod length, if any, and piston pin height.

Woops my mistake I just realized the stroke was different, just trying to get parts together to build my next engine at least the crank would work..

Just to be 100% the crank is totally diferent and will not work??

It would take a lot of work (drive side journal and a mm off the barrels) and calculations (balance factor) to put a L/S crank in an A10 and with the shorter stroke you'd end up with an "A seven tenths". I'd rather spend the time, effort and $$ on a LJ crank & rods.

Ok just makeing sure since im learning about this stuff now I have to be on the hunt for an A10 crank  thank you
